Chinese New Year is one of the grandest and most celebrated occasions that bring families and friends together. This February 2015, it will become a lot more festive than before because we have a double celebration. As we welcome the start of a new year of prosperity and good luck, we are also celebrating Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence.
As a kick off to the celebration, the Official Light-Up and Opening Ceremony happened Saturday evening (31 January 2015) at New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street. People were able to enjoy spectacular live performances by talented performers from Singapore and China.  We can expect more festivals, bazaars, and more activities as we approach 19 February 2015.
A Chinese New Year’s Eve countdown will also takes place at Marina Bay Sands to welcome SG50 and 2015, at the same time. The annual CNY’s eve celebration keeps the tradition in bringing together people from all walks of life.
Fireworks displays, live performances, sumptuous foods, are some of the things that we look forward in celebrating the New Year. The most significant part on Chinese New Year is being reunited with your loved ones. This is also the time to reflect on the things you did during the previous year and to hope for better things that are coming ahead.
In addition to the festivity, ACP is also celebrating a momentous milestone this February. We are celebrating our 18th year of being the leading ICT and IT service provider in Singapore. For over the years, we have been committed in delivering excellent service.
Last year has been a great year for ACP. We are very pleased to be part of Singapore’s push in building a Smart Nation. We were awarded the most number of ICT modules that were tailored towards meeting the needs of IDA’s ICT learning roadmap. And just recently, we were certified for ISO 22301:2012 – the International Standard for Business Continuity Management (BCM). This certification proves that we demonstrated a good practice in business continuity management even during disruptive incidents.
Apart from all the fascinating events during this month, we should always remember that this is the time to be together with you families, the time to start anew and to wish for prosperity for everyone. We should improve ourselves and take part in Singapore’s journey towards building a better nation to live in. From all of us at ACP, we wish you good health, fortune and success, as always!
