Preparations for Singapore’s big day

Singapore is getting ready to celebrate its 50^th anniversary of Independence. Our nation’s Golden Jubilee is not only the time to celebrate but it is also the time to reflect all the challenges and achievements that Singapore attained for over the years. We should also thank our pioneers who have done so many contributions in making what we are today.
*In a statement yesterday, 3 June 2015, by the Ministry of Defence, Singaporean and Permanent Resident households will be getting their instructions on the collections of SG Funpack via mail by next month. They added that the National Day Parade (NDP) executive committee is already working with People’s Association to distribute the SG Funpacks.
A total of 1.2 million households will get an SG Funpack which includes a commemorative figurine of Singa Lion, nostalgic snacks and games, Newater, and items like detergent, instant cereal and face tattoo.  However Funpacks that will be given to NDP spectoators will have more food and drinks and items in the NDP show.
For this year, funpacks will be in tote bags designed by Singaporeans from all walks of life. The National Day Parade 2015 Exhibition and collection of NDP ticket will be held at the Marina Square Central Atrium form 5 to 14 June 2015.
Successful applicants for National Day Parade and NDP preview tickets can collect their tickets between 10am to 10pm daily.  For verification purposes, those collecting tickets must produce NRIC or original photo of identification like student pass or driver’s license.
For those who cannot collect their tickets personally, they can have an authorise representative to claim it. However, the authorised representative should bring original photo identification, photocopy of successful applicant’s photo identification (front and back) and signed letter of authorisation which can be found on NDP website. Tickets not collected by June 14 will be forfeited. The Ministry of Defence reminded that selling of tickets is not allowed. *
As our nation commemorates our 50^th year of independence, we at ACP will also celebrate our 18^th year of establishment in Singapore.
